Weather Challenge Response
Our Second Graders took the Tim Deegan Weather Challenge and produced their own weather forecast shows :). Watch as they include important types of weather observations, temperature, wind speed, cloud coverage, and precipitation to tell the day's weather. Many of these forecasts were actually accurate!!! Great work Sunshine Farm :D.

Some Poems from the Farm
Puppy Thoughts By: Chloe
NO! Don't go!
I want food! It's been a hour!
NO,NO! Wait you said shower?!
Man, Please no! Go, go, go!
Oh, gosh, i'm being carried away!
Man, you know I protected you!
You know, since I was two!
Please, oh please, this is no fun!
I will bark and run, run, RUN!
Bye-Bye!
Take me out:By Ariana A.
I got to go
from head to toe
take me
take me
you see me,
hear me
get up and cheer
come on
get up get up
help your cute little pup
WOOF
A COW'S LIFE-By Macy D.
I am a cow,
I live on a farm
It is very boring
all I do is eat grass
and say, "moo,"
The farmer always milks me,
at two.
I am a cow
and I always say,
"MOO!!!"
Fly,Fly,Fly
by Skyler
fly!fly!fly!
through the air
go go go
or you'll get
out of control!
no no no
not that way
or you'll past
away!
go go go
with your fellows!
there you go
wooooooo!!
there he goes
WAAAAAAAH!
good bye
WAAAAAAAAA!
Dog: by Sidney

i bark so loud my brain has a frown
i run around im out of controll
i look through the door

Take the Weather Challenge!
Sunshine Farm are you ready to take the Weather Challenge? First Coast News' Tim Deegan is presenting a weather challenge for you! Let's take our weather predictions to the next level! Best forecast video will be sent in for Tim's review :D!
Social Studies Timeline Project
In Social Studies, we are using timelines to record our birthdays and special events in our lives.Your job is create a poster or use Ti me Toast online to create a timeline of your life. If using a poster, you must include atleast each of your birthdays (using the birthday cake icon sent home) and can also include pictures and other important events. If using Timetoast, you will need your own Time Toast account including log-in and password. One of our students has already done this as an example. Not only can you add text, but also pictures as well!

Season of Giving Report
During the last few weeks before break, our students decided on a project to give to those in need during the holidays. The Sunshine Farm decided to give locally to the Second Harvest Food Bank. We had been inspired by the work of a family in our class that gives their time and energy to this cause daily. Our parent who works for Second Harvest Food Bank here in Jacksonville came and presented information that inspired us to give out of our pantries and our hearts. We learned that in area that their food bank services about 300,000 people are "food insecure" or are not sure where their next meal will come from.
Our class as well as another two classes responded to this need and raised a tremendous amount of food in only a little over a week. With our food drive we were able to provide almost 200 meals with close to that many pounds in food! Way to go Sunshine Farm!
Happy New Year Sunshine Farm!
Dear Sunshine Farm Families,
We hope you have enjoyed your break celebrating winter holidays and traditions with your loved ones. We loved all of the cards and gifts that you showered us with the last week before break and hope you enjoyed the ones brought home to you :)! Take a look at some of the activities we did before our break and don't forget to check out our holiday card, it is hilarious! We look forward to seeing everyone back at the Sunshine Farm bright and early tomorrow morning. We have alot of work to do still before the farmers mooove on to Third Grade!!!
Love,
Ms. Correia and Mrs. Bridges
